The Bears did not commit a turnover, but converted just three of 14 third downs and managed only 39 yards on the ground.
Bauman capped scoring drives on consecutive possessions with 4- and 5-yard runs midway through the first half, and Matt Myers’ 34-yard field goal put Northern Arizona up 17-0 at halftime.
The Lumberjacks scored on their first drive of the third quarter when Grossart threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Ify Umodu. Myers’ 47-yard field goal made the score 27-0 with 58 seconds left in the third.
Bauman’s first career 100-yard receiving game was punctuated by an acrobatic 39-yard scoring catch on a pass from receiver Khalil Paden, which staked Northern Arizona to a 34-7 lead with 11:53 left in the game.
The Lumberjacks pulled their offensive starters on their next possession.
