COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs woman and her infant daughter are doing well after the woman delivered her own baby on the bathroom floor.
KMGH-TV reports ( ) that Larissa Loomis thought she had time when her contractions began early Sunday. She told her husband to take their 2-year-old son to her parent’s house before they headed to the hospital.
Her husband left and Loomis says her water broke. Fifteen minutes later, 6 pound, 2 ounce Gwyneth was born. Loomis called 911 after Gwyneth was born and dispatchers gave Loomis and her husband, who arrived back at the house shortly after his daughter’s birth, instructions on what to do.
Paramedics arrived and transported the three to a hospital.
