Happy birthday, Hedy Lamarr

One of the brainiest stars in the Hollywood constellation, Hedy Lamarr played Delilah in the 1949 blockbuster “Samson and Delilah,” but also contributed to the development of spread-spectrum communications and frequency-hopping. Lamarr, who died in 2000, would have been 98 today. Anyone for a Brainiac?

Ingredients

2 ounces gin

1 ounce sweet vermouth

Splash Pernod

Squeeze lemon juice

Directions

Stir together all ingredients over ice. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve.
