COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police who arrested a suspect on robbery charges say a broken piece of an air pump may have been used as a weapon.
Police say someone tried to rob a Taco Bell on Wednesday and left without the money. The victim told police the man had a knife in a hooded sweatshirt pocket.
Police later arrested Scott Haines for suspicion of attempted aggravated robbery after he tried to stuff a hooded sweatshirt into a garbage can. Police said they recovered a broken piece of an air pump that looked like a knife.
