COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo.—Three men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $6,400 of US Ski Team gear at Copper Mountain Ski Resort.

KMGH-TV reports ( ) that Summit County sheriff’s officials Tuesday say the men who were arrested provided investigators with details of the theft from a conference room last week.

Copper Mountain opened an Olympic training center earlier this month where Olympic gold medalists such as Lindsey Vonn, Julia Mancuso, Bode Miller and Ted Ligety train.

US Ski Team officials say thieves rendered the brand new jackets, gloves, hats and UnderArmour unusable because they tried to remove the US Ski Team logos.

Authorities say all three men have been charged with felony theft and have been released on bail.
