BOULDER — Matt Appelbaum was elected mayor of Boulder on Tuesday morning by a 5-4 vote, the Daily Camera reported. Lisa Morzel was named deputy mayor, also in a 5-4 vote.
The City Council made the decisions shortly after swearing in its two newest members — Tim Plass and Suzanne Jones. Also sworn in were re-elected incumbents Morzel, Ken Wilson and George Karakehian.
