GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Grand Junction company has won part of a multimillion-dollar contract to build cabins for an observation wheel in Las Vegas.
Leitner-Poma says it will build 28 cabins that can hold as many as 40 people for the 550-foot diameter High Roller Observation Wheel.
Leitner-Poma President Rick Spear tells the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel () his company’s part of the project will take more than two years to complete. He says it will mean more local jobs, but he doesn’t say how many.
The project is part of a larger $550 million project that Caesar’s Entertainment Corp. is building in Las Vegas that will include retail shops, restaurants, nightclubs and hotel rooms.
