Eagle County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for 32-year-old Daniel Perez Lozoya of Edwards, who is suspected in a sex assault on a 13-year-old girl.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest.
The girl told authorities Lozoya touched her inappropriately on Sunday, and authorities have not been able to locate him since.
He is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. He hangs around in the Lake Creek Village and Eagle River Village areas of Edwards, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Court records indicate Lazoya’s only other arrest in Colorado was in 2008, when Vail police took him into custody on a charge of driving without a license and speeding more than 20 mph over the limit in a school zone.
Both charges, however, were dropped “because of a DMV error,” court records state.
