Trey Anastasio plays in September in Commerce City. The Phish frontman will perform with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra on Feb. 28. Getting your player ready...
Phish frontman Trey Anastasio announced Monday his first orchestral tour, which includes a date with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
Anastasio’s Feb. 28 appearance at Boettcher Concert Hall will be the third of four symphony stops for the 47-year-old guitarist and composer. The Trey Anastasio Winter Symphony tour starts Feb. 9 in Atlanta and also visits Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
Anastasio is best known to millions of loyal — some would say fanatical — followers of the band Phish, but this tour will not be his first symphonic foray.
In 2009, Anastasio debuted with the New York Philharmonic and Baltimore Symphony performing his concerto for electric guitar and orchestra, “Time Turns Elastic.”
