The man accused of providing former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan with methamphetamine made a brief appearance today in Denver County Court, where he was advised of three felony charges against him.

A judge granted Timothy Faase, 49, a preliminary hearing, scheduled for Dec. 28, where prosecutors will have to lay out the evidence against him.

Faase is accused of distributing and possessing controlled substances. He remains in Denver County Jail.

Arapahoe County prosecutors say Sullivan traded meth for sex from a male confidential informant during a drug task force sting. He’s been charged with felony possession, distribution and with a misdemeanor charge of soliciting prostitution.

Police arrested Faase Nov. 29 after tailing Sullivan to his Denver home as part of that investigation.
