KEARNEY, Neb. — The NCAA Division II No. 2-ranked Metro State men escaped with a 73-68 overtime victory over Nebraska-Kearney on Friday night in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game.

Brandon Jefferson scored 29 points on 8-of-14 shooting, and had 10 rebounds for his first career double-double for the Roadrunners (8-0, 3-0), who played their first overtime game in nearly four years.

Mike Dentlinger scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds for the Lopers (3-3, 1-2).

No. 7 Colorado Mines 86, CU-Colorado Springs 57 golden  Trevor Wages had 10 points and a career-high 17 rebounds as the Orediggers (6-0, 2-0) rolled past UCCS (1-8, 0-3).

CSU-Pueblo 78, Colorado Christian 68 Lakewood  Andre Martin had game-highs of 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the ThunderWolves (4-3, 1-2) past the Cougars (1-5, 0-2), who were outscored at the free-throw line 28-10.

Chadron State 72,, Regis 58chadron, neb.  The Rangers (3-4, 0-3) shot just 36 percent from the field in the loss. Moala Tautuaa scored 20 points to lead Chadron State (1-6, 1-2).

Women

KEARNEY, Neb. — Caley Dow scored 11 of her season-high 13 points in the second half to lead No. 3 Metro State (7-0, 3-0) to a 65-51 win over Nebraska-Kearney (0-7, 0-3).

Alyssa Benson buried 4-of-7 from the outside for 12 points. Jenessa Burke had 11 and Jasmine Cervantes scored 10 for Metro State, which trailed 25-23 at halftime.

CSU-Pueblo 59, Colorado Christian 52 – Kendall Babler led CSU-Pueblo (5-2, 2-1) with 14 points. Bre McBeth led CCU (2-6, 0-2) with 13 points.

CU-Colorado Springs 54, Colorado Mines 49 – Abby Kirchoff scored 16 points to lead the Mountain Lions (5-3, 1-2).

Stephanie Fogle led the Orediggers (2-6, 1-1) with 18 points.

Chadron State 71, Regis 48 – Tae’lor Purdy had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Regis (4-5, 2-1), which shot 25 percent from the field.

Sadie Waugh scored 17 for Chadron State (1-6, 1-2).
