WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama told The Denver Post this weekend that he planned to spend “a lot” of time in Colorado next year in his bid to win the White House again.

“You can tell people back home that I plan to spend a lot of time” in Colorado next year, he told The Post at a holiday event at the White House.

White House officials and those working for the Chicago-based re-election campaign have made no secret that Colorado is important to them next year. They have opened two offices, one in Denver and one in Fort Collins.
