Counting the commitments of a defensive lineman Sunday and a running back today, Colorado football coach Jon Embree has added four recruits to his 2012 class in the past week.
Donta Abron Jr., a running back from Upland High School near Ontario, Calif., committed to CU today, according to .
Abron, 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds, rushed for 1,710 yards and 33 touchdowns this past season. He’s a two-star prospect as rated by .
Sunday, defensive lineman Josh Tupou committed to CU, according to . Tupou, from Buena Park High School near Fullerton, Calif., had 56 tackles, four forced fumbles and 3.5 sacks last season.
The weekend commitments followed a pair of pledges from defensive ends. Kisima Jagne of Chandler (Ariz.) committed Thursday, and Westlake Village (Calif.) High’s John Stuar committed a week ago.
CU now has 19 known verbal commitments. Those commitments are non-binding until signing day, which is Feb. 1.
