CORTEZ, Colo.—Montezuma County officials are considering using paramedics to cope with a shortage of health care providers.

Eagle County officials shared their experiences with a similar program that uses paramedics to provider health care to patients in their home before an emergency occurs.

According to the Cortez Journal ( ), Montezuma County was recently rated deficient by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for not having enough primary health-care providers
