Three law enforcement officials were hospitalized today following a motorcycle crash during a training exercise.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office transit unit and the Colorado Springs Police Department were participating in a joint motorcycle training near Aviation Way and Fountain Boulevard.
At about 1:55 p.m., three motorcycles collided.
Two El Paso deputies and one Colorado Springs police officer were injured and taken to the hospital.
One of the deputies was treated and released with minor injuries.
The second deputy was taken into surgery for a non life-threatening injury. No other information about his condition, or the injuries of the third victim are being released at this point.
The crash is being investigated by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
