BOULDER, Colo.—A man arrested in the 1994 shooting of the city of Boulder’s director of information services will remain held without bond, at least until another hearing next week.

Thirty-six-year-old Michael Martin Clark, of Dillon, made his first court appearance in the case Friday. He is accused of killing Marty Grisham, who was shot Nov. 1, 1994.

Clark was a friend of Grisham’s daughter. He pleaded guilty to theft and forgery for stealing checks from Grisham around the time Grisham died but has denied being involved in the death.

After investigators re-examined the case, Clark was arrested Thursday. The Daily Camera reports ( ) a judge said Friday he wouldn’t set bond until after charges are filed.

Clark’s family declined to comment to the newspaper after the hearing.
