Su Hawk has stepped down as president of the Colorado Technology Association after nearly nine years.
During her tenure, which started in May 2003, the nonprofit organization grew to more than 8,000 members representing more than 5,500 Colorado companies.
“We just completed our most successful year as the leader on behalf of the technology industry and as an association, and I’m now looking forward to new challenges,” Hawk said in a statement. “. . . The beginning of the new year is the best time for this transition.”
The board has asked Steve Foster, who was in line to be the 2012 board chairman, to succeed Hawk. Foster has served on the board since 2005.
“When Su joined the association, it was during a very challenging time, and we appreciate the commitment and passion she has given our association over the last several years,” Foster said. “She built a community of hundreds of volunteers, engaged industry leaders, brought financial strength and spurred industry advocacy.” Andy Vuong, The Denver Post
