FORT CARSON, Colo.—The Army said Monday it’s investigating the death of a soldier in a Fort Carson barracks as a homicide.

Post officials said the soldier is a 28-year-old woman who was found dead Sunday.

No other information has been released.

The Army post also is mourning the death of a soldier in a crash that El Paso County coroner’s officials have ruled a suicide, The Gazette reports ().

Pvt. Jordon DuBois, 20, was driving a truck Thursday night that veered into a streetlight and a metal-and-concrete bus bench, and slammed several landscaping boulders. Shortly before he died, DuBois posted on his Facebook page that he was distraught because he was being released by the Army.

Meanwhile, Fort Carson officials are still looking for clues in a former soldier’s death in 2006. In December, Army officials renewed offers of a $15,000 reward for information in the death of Joseph Eric Barker, 21. His body was found in a sewage treatment tank on the post in 2006. Barker was discharged in 2005 with chronic back pain.
