MANCHESTER, N.H. — Campaigns and the super PACs that support them are signaling where they think the real primary fight is, and it is not here.

Advertising dollars have been pouring into South Carolina in recent days, which after Iowa, is shaping up to be the next front in the advertising wars.

On Monday alone, a powerful pro-Mitt Romney group dropped $2.3 million on ads in South Carolina. That came just as a group supporting Newt Gingrich, newly flush from a big donation, said it was committing $3.4 million to run commercials there.
