A soldier found dead in barracks on Fort Carson has been identified, and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Spec. Brandy Fonteneaux, 28, of Houston was a food-service specialist in the 4th Engineer Battalion and served in the Army for more than two years.
Her body was found in her barracks room at about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, and her death is being investigated by agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
