BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder officials are pleading with snowboarders and other winter sport enthusiasts to stay off bike trails.
The city says snowboarders, sledders, tubers and tobagganers are causing serious damage to bike ramps and embankments at Valmont Bike Park, which is permanently closed to all sliding sports.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), violators are leaving ruts and footprints in the park, which cost more than $1 million.
