PUEBLO, Colo.—The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife has reopened Runyon Lake after a fuel spill in downtown Pueblo.
The division says the fuel spill is not expected to harm fish because the fuel floated on top of the water.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain ( ), the lake was shut down for three days after more than 80 gallons of diesel fuel spilled early Monday into the city’s storm water system.
City officials say they will bill Alamosa-based Alta Trucking after one of its trucks was blamed for an overflow at underground tanks.
The company said it will respond later Friday to the allegations.
