COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Two men have been accused in the kidnapping and slaying of a Pueblo man whose body was found along the side of a road in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs police Thursday say the Jan. 9 kidnapping and slaying of 21-year-old Jeremy Naranjo appeared to be narcotics related. Witnesses reported seeing several men force Naranjo at gunpoint out of a home and into a vehicle.

Police say 26-year-old Xavier Rubalcaba-Lopez of Colorado Springs and 44-year-old Alfredo Velazquez of Pueblo were being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. Rubalcaba-Lopez had been arrested the day after the slaying on suspicion of being a deported felon.

Neither man has an attorney, according to court records. A listing for Rubalcaba-Lopez could not be found. A number listed for Velazquez, who was arrested Tuesday, was disconnected.
