DENVER—Democratic Colorado congresswoman Diana DeGette is announcing her re-election campaign for a ninth term.
DeGette represents the heavily Democratic 1st District in Denver. She scheduled her announcement for Thursday afternoon.
She was first elected to Congress in 1996.
DeGette is chief deputy whip for House Democrats and serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee.
