DENVER—Some highways in eastern Colorado, including a long stretch of Interstate 70, have been closed because of the winter storm.
I-70 is closed westbound from Burlington to near Denver International Airport. I-70 eastbound is closed between Airpark Road and Limon.
The state transportation department says all hotels and parking lots are full in Limon.
Blizzard conditions are expected on the Eastern Plains through Saturday morning. Between 18 and 28 inches are expected to fall there.
