Denver-based PCL Construction Enterprises today ceremonially made the first installment of a three-year , $600,000 donation to the American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross.
The donation is the first joint corporate sponsorship between the two national Red Cross organizations for disaster response strategy.
“This sort of proactive support enables us to meet disaster-affected communities’ needs more quickly, more efficiently and at a lower cost,” Gino Greco, CEO of the American Red Cross Mile High Region, said in a statement.
In each of three years, PCL pledges $100,000 to each of the Red Cross organizations.
“At PCL, we want to proactively help the Red Cross in their effort to assist whenever and wherever a disaster strikes,” PCL president and chief operating officer Peter Beaupré stated.
