Seventh-inning solo home runs from junior Aubree Maul and freshman Chelsea Brew helped the Metro State softball team rally for an 11-10 victory over the University of Mary (N.D.) on Sunday at the Desert Stinger Tournament in Las Vegas.

The Roadrunners trailed 10-8 before the home runs. Sam Talmich was hit by a pitch in the seventh and scored the winning run on a wild pitch, lifting Metro State to 3-9. The Roadrunners went 1-4 in Las Vegas.

• Northern Colorado fell to 5-1 with a 1-0 loss to Kansas at the Lion Classic, a softball tournament in Hammond, La. The Bears won four of their five games in Hammond. They play Central Arkansas, Purdue and Bryant this week at the Lobo Classic, a tournament in Albuquerque.
