A Denver mother will be charged as an accessory to a hit-and-run crash after police say she refused to tell them where to find her daughter, the alleged driver.
The charge against Kimberly Jacobs, 45, is a felony.
Prosecutors said her 21-year-old daughter, Taylor Mathis, hit two pedestrians at East Colfax Avenue and Ogden Street on Jan. 23 and fled, after initially returning to the crash.
One of the two people was seriously injured.
“Jacobs allegedly knew her daughter had been involved but refused to provide information about the location of either her daughter or the vehicle involved,” the Denver District Attorney’s Office said this afternoon.
Jacobs was arrested in Aurora and released on $10,000 bond.
