
A 53-year-old man died Sunday from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the head, according to a Fremont County Sheriff’s Office press release. A woman is in custody on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment.
Deputies responded to the Mountaindale Campground, 2000 Barrett Road, in northeast Fremont County at about 6 p.m. Sunday on a report that a man had shot himself in the head. They found the deceased man lying on the floor of a motorhome parked at the campground. A handgun was located near the victim.
Valorie Jean Rice, 45, who lived in the motorhome with the victim, was questioned and subsequently arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment. She had been in the motorhome
Witnesses, who were not inside at the time, told deputies that Rice and the victim were fighting just before the shooting.
