Getting your player ready...

Aaron Peyrouse has been a professional ski patroller for 14 years, working at Monarch ski area — with his avalanche dog, Ullr — for the past four years. Here are few of the Loveland native’s favorite things:

Favorite run? Staircase in Monarch’s Mirkwood hike-to area. Ullr likes Zipper Cliffs and anything off the Monarch Sno-Cat.

Most rewarding part of the job? The camaraderie of the job and the amazing skiing I get to do on a daily basis. Helping those less fortunate is another favorite aspect.

Best safety tip? Turn off the Go Pro and ski.
