CREEDE, Colo.—Get out your boots and hats. A film casting company is recruiting possible extras in Colorado for a Disney remake of the classic movie “The Lone Ranger.”

The Southern Colorado Film Commission says the decision to use the central Colorado mining town is not final, but up to five scenes could be filmed in the valley.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain ( ), the remake will feature Johnny Depp. If a deal is reached, it would be the first major studio production in the valley since parts of the 1994 movie “Wyatt Earp” were filmed in Conejos County.

The New Mexico Film Office announced in January that primary filming for the movie would begin this month in that state and continue into August.
