EAGLE, Colo.—Job cuts are under way as the Eagle County school district cuts up to 70 full-time jobs.
The cuts began Thursday and educators losing their jobs are expected to be notified by Friday.
The school district says it expects to cut $5.5 million next year.
According to the Vail Daily ( ), the cuts are part of what the school district is calling an improvement from the school district’s worst-case scenario of 100 to 120 job cuts projected last fall.
