Christian ministry Focus on the Family is recognized today by the National Religious Broadcasters as “Radio Program of the Year.”

The award given at the association’s annual awards ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., comes during the second full year of hosting by Focus President Jim Daly, Dr. Juli Slattery and John Fuller.

“What a humbling affirmation of how much our broadcast guests help families thrive in their marriages, their parenting and their faith,” Daly said in a statement.

NRB said it honors the program “that impacts the listener by being compelling, relevant, informative, personable, and entertaining, while demonstrating an authentic Christian faith.”

NRB President Dr. Frank Wright said Focus on the Family “has sown the light of the Gospel across the globe.”

“By equipping families to demonstrate the love of God in their own homes,” he said, “they have impacted a broken world one heart and one family at a time.”
