LONGMONT — Longmont police arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child after a 4-year-old girl told several adults that the man touched her “middle,” according to reports.
Dustin Kaminski is scheduled to appear in Boulder County Court on Thursday for filing of charges.
According to police reports, Kaminski is a longtime friend of the girl’s mother and had been staying in the home since December. Kaminski would sometimes look after the girl while her mother was out, according to reports.
The girl told another adult unrelated to the family on Feb. 12 that Kaminski had touched her “middle” while they were alone and watching cartoons on the couch together. The adult pursued additional questions with the girl and then called police.
Detective Tori Bellah said it was the second time the girl told an adult because she apparently made a similar statement to the mother’s roommate, but the man told police that he simply did not understand what the girl was telling him.
