Sewn, left, an alluring new boutique with a decidedly DIY bent, has moved in at the former Fancy Tiger Clothing storefront, waiting hardly a feline heartbeat after the Tiger moved into its new shared space with Buffalo Exchange. Located at 18 S. Broadway, the new retail venture by longtime local shop gals Kirsten Coplans and Jil Cappuccio fuses artist-inspired home accessories and gifts with Coplans’ recycled clothing and fashion maven Cappuccio’s original designs. “We just wanted to pull together things that are special,” says Coplans, who adds that Sewn is one of the few places in Denver to find hand-painted Tessa Clogs. The store is a great pairing with another relatively new South Broadway shop due north. Ironwood, at 14 S. Broadway, opened last spring and spotlights an eclectic, “well-curated” mix of easy-care houseplants, rare and unique artifacts, terrariums, books and fine art. Co-owner Alyson Two Eagles says she and partner Jeff Childress simply want their distinct store to reflect “our ideal home.” For questions and store hours, call Sewn at 303-832-1493 or Ironwood at 720-458-0015.
