DENVER—The Denver Post, the Greeley Tribune and the Durango Herald placed first for General Excellence in their respective categories Friday in the annual Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters contest.
Eric Bellamy, Jim Rydbom and the Greeley Tribune won Best of Show for the photo essay, “Delaney’s Life.”
The contest covers work done between Sept., 1, 2010, and Aug. 31, 2011, by Colorado’s AP member newspapers. Awards were presented Friday night in Denver.
Awards were presented in three divisions: Division I for papers under 15,000 circulation, Division II for circulation over 15,000 to 30,000, and Division III for circulation over 30,000.
