BOULDER — A man in a black baseball cap and a University of Colorado sweatshirt robbed a credit union in Boulder today before possibly hopping into a getaway car that sped toward Denver, police said.
Boulder police and the FBI are searching for the man, who never brandished a weapon as he demanded money from a teller at the Elevations Credit Union on South Broadway.
The man, who was white and appeared between 25 and 30 years old, left the bank on foot about 11:30 a.m. but police believe he may have used a getaway car that headed east on U.S. Highway 36. A vehicle description was unavailable, but anyone who saw a car driving fast and aggressively around that time is asked to call the police tip line at 303-441-1974.
The man wore a black jacket of two different fabrics and shiny sleeves over his sweatshirt. He also wore aviator sunglasses.
