GREELEY — Greeley police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was hit by a car in a shopping center parking lot.
Authorities identified the boy today as German Salgado of Greeley. Police say he ran from between parked vehicles into the path of an SUV about 3:30 Thursday. He was taken to Northern Colorado Medical Center, where he died.
The Greeley Tribune reports that police identified the driver as 51-year-old Janie Smith. Her hometown wasn’t available.
No charges have been filed.
