DENVER—Digital First Media has appointed Arturo Duran as chief innovation officer.
The company said Friday Duran will be responsible for the company’s business and audience development and digital strategy. He will report to CEO John Paton.
Duran was previously chief digital officer of the company.
Digital First jointly manages Denver-based ap Inc. and Journal Register Co.
MediaNews owns more than 50 newspapers including The Denver Post and The Salt Lake Tribune. The Journal Register Co. has 18 newspapers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut, Ohio, New Jersey and New York, and other publications and websites.
Digital First says it has more than 800 multimedia products and a combined Sunday paid circulation of 3.1 million. It has 16.8 million online visitors.
