BASALT — The Basalt Police Department is asking for help from the public to find an unknown male who robbed the Vectra Bank branch near Movieland in El Jebel on Friday morning.

A man dressed in a black ski jacket, light-colored pants, multicolored ski gloves, a dark face mask and either goggles or sunglasses walked into the bank at 10:40 a.m. and handed the teller a note that read something along the lines of, “Give me all the money in the drawer,” said Basalt Sgt. Stu Curry.

The man didn’t say anything and he didn’t show a weapon or make any reference to a weapon, Curry said. He was in and out of the bank in less than one minute. He took the note with him. Curry wouldn’t disclose how much money the robber obtained.
