Hikers in the Elephant Buttress area of Boulder Canyon Saturday discovered a decomposed body hanging from a tree, the Boulder Sheriff’s Office said.
According to Sheriff’s Commander Rick Brough, there was no indication of foul play.
Brough said the Boulder County Coroner’s Office will make a determination as to the cause and manner of death once the office has completed its investigation.
The name of the individual will be released once all family members have been notified, said Brough.
Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and the Boulder Emergency Squad assisted with the recovery of the body.
