The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in locating Eagle resident John M. Vengrin, who has not been seen or heard from since Nov. 20.

According to Jessie Mosher, administrative manager for the sheriff’s department, Vengrin’s vehicle was located in the long-term parking lot of the Eagle County Regional Airport by Vengrin’s landlord several months after he last heard from Vengrin.

Mosher said that investigators believe Vengrin, 55, was unemployed at the time of his disappearance.

Mosher said that Vengrin kept to himself. Because of the on-going investigation, the sheriff’s department said it could not release the missing person’s report about Vengrin.

After deputies were unable to locate any flight information for Vengrin he was entered as a missing person.

On Friday, Vengrin’s vehicle was removed from the Eagle County Regional Airport. Deputies didn’t locate anything suspicious in Vengrin’s vehicle or his residence, Mosher said.

Anyone who thinks they may have information about Vengrin is asked to call the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office at 970-328-8500 or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007, or submit a tip on-line at .
