Getting your player ready...
Tracy Hill, the former peerless scoring star in girls basketball at Ridgway, has been named to the National High School Hall of Fame.
She will join former NBA player Kevin Johnson and former Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan for induction July 11 in Nashville, Tenn. Hill scored 2,934 points from 1980-83 and remains the state’s top scorer for girls.
In her final three seasons, she had averages of 33.4, 38.7 and 44.6 points — all before the 3-point shot. She retired with 21 state records and still holds 17 today.
After college ball, she played professionally overseas and was the Tasmania player of the year in 1991.
