Colorado sophomore forward Andre Roberson was named to the all-Pac-12 first team as well as the conference’s all-defensive team, the league announced Monday.

Also getting notice from the Buffs’ roster was senior guard Carlon Brown, who was named to the all-conference second team, and guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who was named to the all-freshman team.

California senior guard Jorge Gutierrez, who played his high school ball at Denver’s Lincoln High, was named Pac-12 overall player of the year and defensive player of the year.

Roberson leads the Pac-12 in double-doubles (eight), rebounding (10.9) and blocked shots (2.3). He is the first CU player to be named to an all-conference defensive team since David Harrison in 2003-04.

Brown leads the Buffaloes in scoring averaging 12.2 points per game and is first in 3-pointers made (39) and second in assists (62).

Dinwiddie ranked third among Pac-12 freshmen by averaging 10.3 points per game. He is first among conference freshmen (fifth overall) in free-throw percentage (100-of-122, 82.0 percent) and 3-point percentage (fifth overall; 36-of-83, 43.4 percent).

CU (19-11, 11-7 Pac-12) is the No. 6 seed at this year’s Pac-12 Tournament and will play No. 11 seed Utah at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday at 9:40 p.m. MST.
