Fog continues to hang over the Front Range and metro area this afternoon.
Colorado weather forecasters have , where the freezing mist could linger and possibly develop into snow this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
A freezing drizzle lingered in Denver until about 11 a.m.
High temperatures will peak around 37 degrees today. There is a 30 percent chance of snow this afternoon. Less than an inch of snow could fall in Denver by tomorrow.
City crews are ready to clear snow and apply de-icing materials as they are needed, according to a news release from the Denver Department of Public Works.
Precipitation is expected to continue falling along the Front Range and in the foothills this afternoon. A possible 1 to 3 inches of snow could fall in the mountains.
A hazardous weather outlook is also in place for western Colorado until Thursday morning.
Winds gusts in the southwest could be as strong as 35 mph.
There is a 40 percent chance of snow in the metro area tonight, where temperatures are expected to drop to 23 degrees.
Temperatures will climb to about 44 degrees on Thursday, with a 10 percent chance of snow in Denver before 11 a.m.
