Gardeners, Colorado Springs needs you …
Or your family, club or business to adopt a flower bed and help keep the 58 city flower beds blooming this summer. The Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department sponsors the “Springs in Bloom” program and provides the flowers for free to all volunteers. “Adopters” must plant and maintain the beds, following provided guidelines. Beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A third of the beds have been claimed. The city hopes to have sponsors for all beds by April 3 for prime planting season from May 15 through June 4. Visit the website for details or call Donna at 719-385-6568 with questions.
