Bust open the windows. Find the paintbrushes. Dust off the wish list. Sharpen the shovels.
The comes back to town Friday-March 18 at the National Western Complex, and it’s got some new wrinkles — including a Project Runway star who’ll show off a dress made from $20 worth of Home Depot supplies.
If your bent is more practical, Boulder interior designer , left, will conduct free, 10-minute consultations for those itching to put some sizzle into snoozy decor. Bring color swatches, plans or photos to Waggoner at booth 1725.
There, Waggoner will also unveil the design for a media room she and her team are creating and donating to Brent’s Place, a housing facility for immune-compromised kids and their parents near the Anschutz medical facility.
Among the other highlights:
• a local branch of an international school of flower arranging, holds its annual Ikebana exhibition at the Home Show, with demonstrations each day, every two hours or so. On March 18, will perform at 1 and 3:30 p.m.
• William Moss, left, of HGTV’s “Dig In” will give organic gardening presentations at 1 and 3 p.m. March 17 and 18.
• Seven demonstration gardens will go dark every hour for 10-minute intervals to show off their nighttime looks, including a water feature with flames.
• Modern-Shed will be there, with its midcentury-style small buildings for use as studios and retreats.
• Christopher Straub, a “Project Runway” Season Six contestant, will show off his Home Depot dress and answer attendee questions at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday and 2 and 4 p.m. March 17.
