MEAD —With Trey Tatham battling cancer, northern-area folks are stepping up to help.
Trey, 5-year-old son of Mead wrestling coach Ty Tatham, is battling rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer and childhood form of the disease. His treatment may last into next winter.
In addition to the outpouring of support for the family, there will be a benefit golf tournament to help deal with considerable costs.
The tournament is June 9 at Twin Peaks Golf Course in Longmont. Thirty-four foursomes will be welcomed in a shotgun start. Cost is $100 per player.
Breakfast, lunch, a silent auction and a raffle are included.
