Tebow time is officially over in Denver. Yes, the brawny, bro-y Tim Tebow is trading in his Stetson, cowboy boots and XXL Rockmount shirt for a neon fixie, Chuck Taylors and extra skinny jorts. That’s right — Tim Tebow is leaving Denver to play for the New York Jets.

We used to see Tebow at some of the shows we covered around town now and again. . . Sleigh Bells at the Larimer Lounge. (Ok, not Sleigh Bells. Teebs doesn’t get the whole heavy-noise-pop-trash thing … yet.)

In tribute to this cultural evolution of Timothy Richard Tebow, here are five songs that we think Teebs might listen to as he prepares to adjust to his new life watching Wes Anderson films in an abandoned Bushwick loft space.

5. The Black Keys, “Brooklyn Bound”

Because this was the first thing that came up when Tebow Google’d “Songs about Brooklyn.”

4. Vampire Weekend, “Holiday”

Because Tebow heard this song on that Tommy Hilfiger commercial while watching the Super Bowl.

3. Gotye, “Somebody That I Used To Know”

Because John Elway told him to go find the Elliott Smith song of the same name, but this one had way more views when he typed it into YouTube and the video is just so cray cray!

2. Foster The People, “Pumped Up Kicks”

Because he already had his tix to see FTP at Red Rocks this summer, paper clipped to his Miranda Lambert calendar with the phrase “Pumped up tix!!!!!!!”

1. Fun., “We Are Young”

Because Teebs will play this song on repeat as he drives 1,800 miles east with the spring wind tussling his hair, stopping at every Steak ‘n Shake and throwing a triumphant fist toward the sky a-la Judd Nelson in “The Breakfast Club” as he leaves the Mile High behind.
