DENVER—Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki (shin-SEHK’-ee) met with staff and patients at the Denver VA Medical Center on Monday.
The aging hospital is being replaced by a new facility in the Denver suburb of Aurora.
The new hospital will cost $580 million and is expected to be completed by early 2015.
